    Default powers boothe

he is an american actor. but the issue that's been bugging me is why is he named powers? that's a very unusual name to be given by his parents who i assume are native english speakers. i know of no other persons named powers. and why is his first name in the plural and not the singular power? this is the prime mystery of this age my friends.
    indeed

His name is a unique one, a good actor though, my fav role of his was in Tombstone as Curly Bill Brocious, a real great bad guy and you can't help liking the character even though he is a brutal sod

I would actually like to see him with some kind of descriptor in front of his name, like solar, ice, wonder twin, etc.

Family name probably. Let me ask you this how many people do you know with the given names Lawson or Reuel? They are the given names of both my grandfathers (maternal and paternal) and they are my first and second names.

i like his name - the name definitely sticks. i remember seeing him in some b-movie Deliverence rip off called Southern Comfort but he definitely stood out as Jim Jones when i saw him in the Guyana Tragedy, or whatever it was called.

    Southern Comfort... B-movie... RIP-OFF?!

You evil, evil man... Southern Comfort was:
    1) One hell of a lot better than Deliverance.
    2) Certainly not a rip-off; it is quite different from Deliverance.

I have to agree with Zorba here. SC was a wicked film and not a rip off of deliverance which lets be honest is only memorable for a certain piggy scene. Southern Comfort is a much better fil overall. I love SC, walter hill i have always liked as a director
