    Default Commonwealth Troops in WW2

Where can I find information about the deployment of the British / Commonwealth troops during WW2? I am interested in the air force and army units outside of Europe, especially in Africa and the Middle East.

Google "western desert force" "british eighth army" and "desert air force".

You are asking about the entire history of one theatre of the war though, so expect a lot of info.

    Thank you!

However, I still need some details. Esp. exact combat strength. What about the army and air force garrisons of Gibraltar, Cyprus, Syria and Iraq?

ANZAC. Also look for the Canadian troops (they're practically commonwealth, having just left the Empire and fighting with Britain anyway). There are also the Indian troops, who were important in Asia.

Sorry 'bout that.. was under the mistaken belief that the Commonwealth meant the colonies of the British Empire plus Britain itself . Looking back it's quite a stupid mistake.. seeing how the Commonwealth Games happened not so long ago.

Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.
