Default Consultation - the best way to upload your mod

In the many mods I've download, I've noticed a wide degree of variety in the means by which they've been hosted. Of those that people have tried, which would they recommend as being the most useful or user-friendly, which would they steer clear of, the different considerations for mods of different sizes, content etc.

    All advice and experience appreciated.

I've tried out a few filehosting sites, namely:

    Rapidshare --- Mirror 1
    Rapidshare --- Mirror 2

    Megaupload

    Streamload

    ORG Uploader

From the feedback I've received, apparently the two main filehosting URLs I use (Rapidshare & Megaupload) may sometimes cut-off (or freeze) the download. This forces a user to restart the whole download procedure from scratch, which can be frustrating if time is crucial.

I think the URL that may do this to a user is probably Rapidshare; Megaupload seems more stable than Rapidshare. However, the advantage of using Rapidshare is that they will only remove inactive files after a month; Megaupload remove inactive files after a couple of weeks.

Obviously OGR uploader is best for smaller mods (up to few megs).

That way you are +100% sure it will still be there next year.
Not foverer lost in less then few months.
