Well, it could have to do with the way these are used. Maybe Sarmation aren't meant for hand-to-hand like the Scholae Palantinae. They may be meant mainly for flanking hard, like a heavy cavalry. It really beats me, but I don't know what to tell you.![]()

It may have something to do with the Scholea Palatine having lances and the Sarmatian Auxilary having just sword. Don't know though its been forever since I've played BI, blessed be EB.
