Well an entire subforum maybe a bit much, wouldn't one good thread in the frontroom do ?
Something like SwordsMaster's :

One for GAH!
A whole sub-forum is probably too much, but if it gets support I don't really have a problem with it.

Imagine, we could even have special olive oli and wine making threads. This could be the most practical of all forums. Also, we could have a thread for shaving, the ancient style.
We could have a thread for dating counciling and many others inside this new sub-forum.

But you can also have that (and as a matter of fact we already do have a lot of it) in the Frontroom.Originally Posted by Cronos Impera

Don't get me wrong - I am not rejecting the idea as such (and the topics you give as examples are interesting) - but I would like to better understand what the benefits of a separate subforum would be.
No need imho. We've got the frontroom. Too many fora looks messy.
Abandon all hope.
I'd rather this stayed as a mostly specialized board, encompassing TW, other games, and history-related stuff.
We already have the Tavern for any generic topics.
I would prefer this forum not to try and turn into a jack-of-all-trades kind of forum (and fail miserably at that), of which there are so many out there.
I'm not saying that this initiative alone would do that, it would just create a precedent.
More non-TW forums also means more people who would spend less time on the TW topics, and a smaller overall percentage of the board members that are interested in TW. I wouldn't like those to become a minority on a board dedicated to the TW series, not in the near future or in the distant one.
This rationale, of course, is based on the assumption that lots of people would be interested in non-TW topics. If there weren't, then there is no point in having those additional forums anyway.
So, as far as I'm concerned, I voted No.
