    Default Campaign problems w/ 1.5

    Greetings,

Vanilla RTW. Patched to 1.3 then to 1.5. Can't start imperial campaigns, it simply returns to the single player menu. Seems to load campaigns fine. Any suggestions? It's been a loong time since I've played, and I'm almost certain some/many files have been modified. Fresh install?

My apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

    TIA,
    V

Try this. Play the Prologue campaign first. Dont think you have to play it all the way through but past the first scripted Gaul encounter.

If you've edited any files, make them back to the original files. Happened to me when I tried to rename cities.

From what you've stated in your post Volstag, a re-install would be your best option.

Of course since a re-install may waste some precious play time, try Severous' and Tiberius' methods first - you really have nothing to lose so it seems.

I did attempt to play the prologue for awhile (past the first combat anyway), and that didn't do much. I'll try replacing the modified files and see if that helps... beyond that I'll try a reinstall. Thanks everyone.

Strange since I did the same and it's worked completely fine so far. I did do a fresh install but I didn't change anything in the program folder so anything that was left from the previous uninstallation is still there.
