Thread: Hellenic port in Roma

    Default Hellenic port in Roma

The Romans have the 6 trading ship port, but its hellenic.

And while I was checking to see who has the finest school in the beginning for education, shouldn't Roma have a scriptorum? Even by 272 have they not developed that much in schooling?

Lilibeo has a level 1 ptolemiac government building as well as all the other buildings my spy has found. Does Carthage use the Egyptian slot, or Egyptian culture? One building makes sense but all of them being egyptian doesn't sound right.

This is all down to the culture swap. The Roman faction slots are used by Seleukia, Hayasdan and Baktria. Rome uses an Hellenic slot. They haven't got round to clearing all of that up yet (although I believe it is the team's plan to have most of this complete for the port to 1.5) which is why you get Roman banners on Seleukid units (not sure that still happens in 0.74) and Roman-looking towns in the East and Greek-looking towns in Italy.

Yes, Carthage uses the Egyptian culture slot.

The culture set-up will be MUCH cleaner after the port. Going from 6 to 7 doesn't sound like a lot, but that (and some other tricks) have allowed us to solve a lot of the more aggravating problems. My personal v.74 favorite is the lone Parthian Rebel state in southern arabia. Feel the joy.
