    This looks pretty darn sweet. Now if only they made a realistic sword fighting game...you already have the best controller in the known universe for it.

    Someone suggested M&B on the Wii over at the Taleworlds forums actually, I think they need all the support they can get, but I know I'd like to see such a thing happen.

    I just watched the tennis video (thanks for posting!), and my only concern is how the characters move. I understand that swinging part, but the characters themselves? That I'm not getting.

    I don't know how many of you have actually used hand to hand weapon, but I have done a little fencing, and I just can't see how any controller would be able to keep up with the speed required to fence. Also, since blades (or points) can hit any part of your body, how would you see and know how to block say a low-blow aimed at your legs or knees? The depth perception bugs me.

    Anyway, I will now have a Wii pre-ordered and I already know the first two games I'm getting, MP3 and Zelda. Now THAT is a launch team to be proud of. (And the new Madden could be interesting too, but the jury is still out on that one.)

    No, but I think the comments on the 1st party games were positive, so its probably a software related thing which will no doubt be fixed before release.

    Sounds more like control problems with the game than with the Wii itself. I watched the E3 demo of it and was puzzled by some of the choices UbiSoft made- for example, the targeting "zone" in the center of the screen where your aim will move, but not your view.... What was the logic behind that? Has any FPS ever needed a "zone" like that in the middle of the screen? -of course not.

    Im still hoping you can disable that as an option, or they take it out altogether before release.

    As to the other control problems they had, they seemed mostly related to just getting used the game's control scheme- and it seemed they got over them pretty quickly.

    Supposedly the latest build of Red Steel controls a hell of a lot better than the E3 demo. Regardless, the fact that Alex Navarro said Red Steel's graphics looked "a little better than a gamecube" automatically makes him full of [beep]. I supposed if you used Resident Evil 4 as the benchmark for what a Gamecube can do, yeah. The light effects, physics, animations, reflections, explosions, are all well outside of the GC's capabilities.

    Oh, and the reason the reticule isn't set to the center of the screen is because if they did that, is because it would give you some serious motion sickness with an input device like the Wiimote, among other things (such as having to turn your body facing against the screen in order to turn 180 degrees)

    If you've played Metroid Prime: Hunters, you'd know that this control setup works just fine.

    In all seriousness, the Wii is going to have the greatest launch of all time for any system, and you can quote me on this. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, about a dozen third party exclusives including Red Steel, Rayman 4, and Trauma Center: Second Opinion (too lazy to link, but rest assured the original Trauma Center is virtually a cult classic), all on the same day, with a new Mario platformer coming 6 months later? Yes please.
