File for minimum number of units ?

I thought I'd recently seen a post with download for installing only the minimum number of units used (in BI?), now can't find it at all, was I dreaming?

Thought:
a: that this would be good starting point for mod to avoid problems with hard coded units limit, and
b: that whoever did it might have some good clues to 'lost' units

can anyone point me to it?.
