You guys are right, Sam Houston was born in Virginia, I looked it up right after I posted and saw I was wrong. Shoulda looked it up BEFORE I posted.

Some of Texas was a province of Mexico.

When Sam was born there was no Mexico either. It was Nuevo Espana.
