Default Should I play EB beta (Imput Please)

I am asking because I don't usually care for betas due to the amount of unfinished things. I like to play a complete, well done game. So should i play EB? How finished is it? What's missing? Should I wait and play RTR 6.0 Gold, or give it a shot?

Wait 2 more weeks and you get an 80% complete extra super duper mod.

Or play now, but there are bugs and CTDs.

But back to the topoic you can manage an easy Carthage campaign in those 2 weeks without too many bugs just prepare yourself for some detective work finding out about what and where an when of the unit recruitment.

EB is spectacular as it is, but if I were you I'd wait until 0.8 when it is more spectacular. 0.8 should have better AI, a ton more units and campaign related things, and two new factions.

Wait I shall then. Guess I'll play RTR Gold until then.

You probably should go for RTR first, since if you play EB there's no going back.

Nobody's been giving out false dates. These have been my calculations. How long would a port to 1.5 take? 5 weeks? 6 weeks?

While on the subject if you can't get the new ctd ( the one with buildings and units) under controll can you possibly finish the 1.2 version so we can enjoy it even more?

There's no going back to 1.2. 1.5 will work in a worst case scenario with a building that CTD's if you click on it. Other mods have just totally cut out unit recruitment that requires buildings being present or not. We are working to find ways around it, but going to 1.2 isn't an option. No further work is taking place on 1.2 builds that I know of.

Good... 1.2 is obsolete now... So many exploits in 1.2, ans as bad as the AI is in 1.5, it's a LOT better than 1.2... Plus the infamaous load save 'feature' is fixed...

Thats too bad, but at least it isn't as serious as the complex limit (I think). And to take a page from Eric Idle in the smash-hit motion picture Life of Brian, we should look on the bright side (of life) and imagine all the posts from people clicking on buildings and ctd'ing that will bump the forum up 100's of pages. Well, maybe it won't be ha ha funny, probably more subtle, dark comedy.

Or I may just be insane and posting crap again out of feeling compelled to post something besides "+1 points for Getai" in the forum game thread.

I've played a decade as Romani and a decade as Qarthadastim, and I've had no unexpected problems at all - besides this recruitment issue that has been introduced in 1.5 (and it's not noticeable at all if you just don't click on the MIC building to view the description). There are other new coding problems we are trying to get around for new stuff.

There might be light in the end of the tunnel... Anyway we have alot of units yet to put into the game not to mention new factions. Two weeks seems a bit optimicsctic to me. We have to test a bit too.
