    I never thought I'd open a topic on this, but watching tv the other day (Have you seen the ukraininan cutie? ), I stumbled onto the preview program-namely the finnish group. And I was fairly impressed. I did some digging (the ukrainian cutie I'm so impressed with can actually sing too!) and apart from the hotness of the portuguese girls, there are a few acts worth watching. Ok, ok, I'll make a list:

    Ukraine - Tina Karol - Show me your love
    Denmark - Sidsel Ben Semmane - Twist of love
    Finland - Lordi - Hard Rock Halleluja (honorary mention for costumes)

    Still fairly easy on the ears (and HOT), there are the portuguese girls:
    Nonstop - Coisas de nada
    And another one worth mentioning is

    Latvia - Cosmos - Ihear your heart (Crap song, kinda curious though)


    Anyway. Anybody has any thoughts-insights on this international parody?

    I hope that there are some entertaining and comical Germanic performances.
    Of course, we all really watch it to hear what Sir Terry Wogan has to say on the matter of the foreigners...

    I love Eurovision. The music's usually complete rubbish, but Terry Wogan's mildly inebriated commentary on how much he hates the politics of the event (all the Balkan countries just voting for each other, for example) is hilarious.

    I shall be watching this year! Purely because of Lordi. I have listened to them for a fair bit and they are fairly good, it is good to see some heavy metal on the bill for a change!

    there's a distressing lack of hotties this year, although Cyprus and Monaco are worth a second look.

    And, really, I know its awfully unsophisticated to laugh at our European neighbours and their funny ways, but are those really Fez that Albania are wearing?

    I can hardly wait for it to start. Gives me an excuse to laugh at all the other entries without prejudice. Unfortunately, we qualified directly last year - with Estonians singing for us...won't happen again, I am sure (they were good looking, though).

    Always an event! Will be watching it on BBC this year.
