I really should be able to work this out, but I seem to be stuck on the matter.
I have 3 factions, factions empire_east, sassanids and franks (all with vanilla associated cultures).
Whenever the sassanids or franks (whether AI or local) have a peasant revolt in an empire_east settlement *and* that settlement has no recruitment buildings of the empire_east faction it it, then a CTD occurs.
So clearly the game will not allow empire_east cultured settlements to rebel to ungarrisoned empire_east settlements for some reason (whereas it works fine for the settlements of the other 2 factions revolting to ungarrisoneds). Clearly, the empire_east situation is different as their own cities occupied by themselves revolt to slaves and that works fine.
I have tested this CTD and discovered that as soon as a core building exists the CTD occurs - i.e. it does not occur when the core is not present.
I can see nothing wrong in the EDB, I can see nothing wrong with the tags (default culture etc.), I cannot see how the SM core model would cause a problem.
I'm a bit stuck. I really should not be. But I am. Any thoughts would be welcome.
