What?! How can this be possible?! Gangs with rifles and grenades?! I refuse to believe it!

After all, look at Brazil, they have some very strict gun control laws. Thus, it is simply not possible for criminals to get guns if guns are outlawed! If they could, what would be the point of gun control laws?

It sprang into my head after reading that police officers were forbidden to buy more ammunition.

Anyways, back on topic-I'm surprised they haven't sent the military in to the city. It sounds like near anarchy.

I'm not a military expert, but both parties prefer to use guerrilla tactics, thus it will be not a good option to send the military. Besides sending people trained to kill into a heated terrain with many innocents in it will be a very bad choice IMO.

Erm, Sao Paolo is not the capital of Brazil, last I heard. I assume the word you're looking for is "Metropolis" or simply "city," which will indicate a particularly urban area with a particularly high concentration and therefore a lot more slums and "bad neighborhood" than usual.

And yes, Sao Paolo was messed up. But hey.
