    Default Medieval: Total War 2

I'm curious to see how many of you here in the backroom are interested in the upcoming TW game. I mean, I assume we all played at least one TW game at least a little to wind up here. But few seem to post in the other game-related fora. I find it funny, and I want to see if my perception is anything like reality.

I personally am interested in MTW2, but haven't played a TW game in a bit. Rome was a disappointment, and my laptop is underpowered to boot.

I'm sceptical. Interested but passively so.

I am interested, Rome just didn't do it for me. I still play MTW from time to time. Sometimes I don't play for months, and then suddenly I think like starting a campaign(after seing a movie or reading a book) and the love is back.

I was not impressed by Rome. I finish one campaign, start few others, and same with Barbarian. Medieval, I played it thousand times, having access to more parties and different periods. It was more fun. So, yeap, I am waiting with great interest the new Medieval. I would have prefer a new zone (India, China, Mongol, Khmer etc) or an other period (Renaissance for ex, with the mixture of guns and spears).

I play MTW quite often (with the wonderful mods now available) but hated RTW because of the useless AI. I'm not interested in eye-candy but challenging game-play, so if MTW 2 goes the way of most games now and look pretty but plays feebly, I won't buy it.

Particularly since I would probably have to buy a new computer to do so.

I haven't played any TW games in months. Sort of lost the challenge. I will, however, probably end up buying MTW2.

I started a new campaign in MTW recently, it was going really well...until the game broke. Ah well. I'm very much looking forward to Medieval 2 : Total War - I hope it will live up to the original Medieval.

You´re the first to spell it correctly, it´s actually called Medieval 2: Total War, because it´s the second Medieval of the first Total War series.

Yes, I´m looking forward to it, of course I am, it will be great to have a new Medieval with more features, more units and of course great graphics and details.

I am interested although I have not touched a TW game in several months. Pretty much since my second EB campaign consistently CTDed, and Real Life got time-consumming. But I am interested in several games, and M2:TW is one of them.

I like to make sure I have a reason to come back here, so I play MTW and RTW from time to time, currently taking over Carthage as the Egyptians. I've not had a chance to re-install STW yet...

I intend to look in on M2TW, but whether I purchase it is another matter...

I haven't played TW in a while but Rome didn't float my boat in the same way as Medieval did.

I guess I am looking on with interest.

Rome is nice. It has its problems (starting with the AI being stupid, but then modern programming for consumer laptops *has* its limits...), but at least fixed a whole lot of issues that irked the living daylights out of me in the earlier games of the series. Been a bit too busy with exams lately to spend much time on it though.

So long as M2TW doesn't do something atrociously stupid I'll likely buy it once my "starving student" shoelace budget allows.

I think it not the end of the World when RTW came out.. May have had it Sucky Bugs and Crap, but if you learn to deal with them and/or just don't pay any attetion to them or try not to,it be ok..

I'll probably buy it after they make an expansion pack for it and offer both in one package. I'm pretty busy with two jobs, grad school, and the daughter coming. AND I am looking for a new fulltime position since I leave the Corps in a few months. MAJOR transition coming soon!

I'll buy it once I am all settled in and life stops coming to me at 500mph.

I'll buy it if it fixes all the problems in RTW. BTW, do you think they will use the same name for the MTW2 expansion as they used for the MTW expansion?

I'm a bit surprised about the results, although I shouldn't be.

I've always kind of disassociated the Backroom from the TW community at large. CA should be happy so many of us are sticking with our roots and waiting for MTW2.

(And yes, I know it's M2TW. But that looks more like a marketing gimmick than a proper title to me.)

I am looking forward to it. I haven’t played in a few months, I can’t get my MTW:vi to load with crashing to desktop. Hopefully it is something that will be resolved with the new.

I will most likely buy it - even if my comp will be a bit dated by then - but I guess it should run, vene if I will have to scale deon on details.

Hopefully CA will finally manage to implement one thing they already promised for RTW (and where they achieved the opposite): Less battles, but more meaningful (i.e. decisive) ones

I haven't decided whether I'll go for it yet or not. I didn't like Rome and I still play Medieval, so if M2TW is the same sort of thing as Rome, which by all acounts appears to be the case, then I may give it a miss.

Didn't have the time to play it recently (because I'm playing Guild Wars and two games just don't fit in), but I'm certainly interested. Unlike most here, I also participate in the forum for it.

Edit by Ser Clegane: encouragement of piracy in any form is not acceptable here (even if you claim that you will buy the product if you like it)
