How would I go about changing the conditions for the Marian Reforms? Can you change whether the later roman units (as well as greek general etc. that depend on the reforms) are dependant on the reforms themselves or some other condition?
The Marian Reforms themselves are hardcoded - you cannot change the conditions by which they are activated. You can change whether units are reliant on the Marian Reforms to be built by going into the export_descr_buildings file and going to each of their recruitment lines and removing the "and marian_reforms" condition.
See here for more conditions that you can use in edb.

I've deleted all the post-Marian units and removed all references to the reforms from export_descr_buildings. I've also deleted Italy as a hidden resource. I've just played through to 170 BC without the reforms occurring - in the past they've always come before 200 BC.
