    Default Pictures: Death of General

When the window pops up to say a general has died its sometimes a crucial point. At other times its already all over and just a formality.

That event passes quickly but there are some good pictures if you can hit the pause quick enough.

How about this thread for posting any pictures that look good or just meant a lot to you. Add some story if you want but its mainly the picture.

I would like to start of with a hard act to follow. One of the best Ive captured if I do say myself.

From the my Egyptian campaign. Fighting my way west across Greece as I move towards Rome. This was the first decisive battle. Byzantium would be the prize if I could kill everyone.

Please feel free to add yours...and your enemies

to bad I didn't pay attention to take a screenshot when my roman onagers killed a thracian general with a rock on the 3rd or 4th throw...so the general bodyguard size were about 37 and after i killed the general with onager remained about 32 general bodyguards with no general lol...seems that i took a lucky shot

It's so sad when a captain runs into water or into a wall of spears.

Didnt realize the enemy general was on the Elephant.

This was the first battle between the two super powers in my current campaign. Egypt v.s Carthage. Carthage broke our allience and attacked me. I was marching on one of its towns though.

Seleucia falls. Death of the enemy king. Like the chariot on the left..turning sharply with one wheel in the air. Chariots are terrible in cities...only the plaza of big towns offers the space they like to run around in.

Damn it.. What graphics are you using?! It just looks too good..
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

Nothing special. Got most the advanced graphic settings turned right up except grass which is turned off.

Scythed Chariots main weapon is those spikes on their wheels. I have found that running in front of a persuing cavalry unit is the best way to kill it. Careful slow down, or turn gradual corners, just get the cavalry that is chasing you to get close to your back row of chariots...and down go the cavalry.

SPQR General is going down. Massed pikes and some Cataphracts into the rear has the purple engulfing in a sea of Selucid whites.

Experience upgrade effect going off as this Spanish captain died.

Scipii general lured into hidden troops in a forest. Skirmisher looks to have inflicted the killer blow. Cavalry seem to be at a disadvantage in forest combat. (Picture is my current desktop wallpaper.)

The treacherous, backstabbing King of Pontus regrets his choice of enemies as he is bludgeoned from his horse by a Cataphract bodyguard. One of my favourite screens from my work-in-progress Armenian AAR.
