Default Call of Duty 2 Question

There are many different types of Call of Duty 2 such as "Big Red One" for Ps2. I was wondering, if the different names are just because it is different consoles, or does it have different gameplay?

The CoD2 versions for the last gen consoles are totally different than CoD2 for PC and 360.

    Another question...

Why the hell can I not have a sidearm and two weapons in COD2? All of a sudden a sidearm takes up the same slot as an SMG or Rifle. Design decision, or what?

A design decision, 2 weapons only.

Are they trying to make sidearms useless, or something? Seems like kind of a waste of energy to make weapons that won't be used.

Side-arms arn't useless, especially not the Webley. They are good as they make you run faster when you hold them!

But the Webley is awesome in the one Mission you get it in! One shot kills everywhere. A truelly overpowered gun!

Which is ironic because the Webley was downright terrible in United Offensive.
