As it's long time from the last update, I think it's the moment for a brief summary of the progress of the mod, currently functional in RTW 1.5.

CAMPAIGN MAP

Although representing the same zone as ITW 1.0, the map for ITW 1.1 is completely new, more realistic in ground types, mountains, rivers and climates.
Here you have some nice (IMO ) screenshots:
My home :

Also the look is important, so we have changed the maps for the faction menu and the user interface.

The barbarian factions have been splitted into two different cultures, one for the celtic tribes in Iberia, and the other (nomad culture imported from BI) for the gallic factions, in order to have culture penalties.

Now the ITW campaign substitutes the imperial campaign, and we are working in possible additional provincial campaigns with new features.

UNITS

Viriato, with the assistance of Idibil, has changed completely the turdetani faction. Here you have some images of the new units:
Scutati with musician:

Caetrati with lancea (light spearmen);

Turdulian Fides (also speamen):

Astapa's Scutati (elite troops):

Light cavalry:

The celtiberian faction is also nearly finished.

Ive modestly begun to model some units, in this case slingers (these are my first attempts ):

We have also included the work of great modellers/skinners for the non-iberian factions. Examples of roman and gallic factions:

HORSES

We have modified completely the system of horses distribution.
Seven different breeds have been implemented in the mod, depending on the factions and the geographical distribution (from historical sources).
From left to right: Berber, Aryan 2, Lusitanian, Iberian, Iberian-celtic, Aryan 1, and Celdon.

They are different in height, robustness, and also in colors. Here you have some screenshots:

HISTORICAL BATTLES

After some initial problems, we have found a method to create historical battles, from the new imperial-campaign map.
There are three functional battles at the moment, and Karmipoka is working on several more.
Here you have some screenshots:
Ilorki: the asssault to a roman position on a hill by the carthaginian-illergete army.

Vulcanalia: a roman column falls in a celtiberian ambush.

OTHER FEATURES
- Night battles enabled
- Simplified building system (WIP)
