Well after an hour of messing around with my pc and making varius new email accounts and making atleast 3 accounts here.... I HAVE MANAGED TO GET 1 TO WORK AND TO GET THE ACTIVATION LINK RECEIVED AND WORKING!


lol, i think i may have registered 2 other accounts without activation yet and if i have *which i beleive i have* you may delete those

I don't know if it was my computer giving me problems or my uber computer genius just overloading on me

It's the quality of the posts, not the number that get's you promoted.

After you get promoted to member you can post anywhere you'd possibly like.

MRD and I have the unfortunate distinction of having never posted anything of substance and have been trapped in the New members section for years now. The only way we will be allowed to leave is to find a replacement (a sacrafice if you will)... Someone that posts just to add to post counts and creates threads and multiple accounts simply to annoy someone enough for promotion.

Well MRD, our victim has arrived my dear Brother, help me lead him to the alter of Proletariat, Big King Sanctaphrax, Papewaio, ShadesWolf and out days of welcoming newbies will be behind us FOREVER!!! Long live Tosa!!!

Time to dispel an urban org myth of being able to post in the Entrance Hall only:

Membership Information [indent]
Junior members are given access to all the publicly available forums. They are, however, given restricted posting permissions in most of these forums. The table below outlines the forums new Members can actively participate in:

Junior Members can also search most of the main forums: see the advanced search page for more details. You can check you posting privileges for any given forum by checking the Posting Rules box, usually at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Promotion to Member sets all posting permissions to Yes, with some notable exceptions: Guides, Library, and repository forums and the Ludus Magna forum. In these forums, new threads can only be posted by members of Staff. Please contact the Moderator(s) of these forums if you wish to start a thread.

Junior Members are also restricted from certain UserCP options, e.g. the Custom User Titles, and profile pictures. (See relevant section on the UserCP below.)

Promotion to Member
Promotion to Member is based on participation, conduct and contributions in your posts. Quantity of posts doesn't matter - you could be promoted on the basis of one amazing post, although just showing the ability to interact with the membership in a helpful and polite manner is easily sufficient. In other words, you don't need to do something special, just enjoy yourself whilst following the Forum Rules above. Introducing yourself (if you have not already done so) in the HAIL New Members! (Introductions) III thread doesn't hurt either!

Promotions are handled manually by the Guild Staff, and are generally done en masse. So as a very quick rule of thumb: if you've been here for a couple of weeks and been posting reasonably regularly during that time, you should be promoted to Member.
