    Track # 17 is Gratus' Entry into Jerusalem, and Track #18 is Parade of the Charioteers, both from Ben-Hur, and, once again, by Miklos Rozsa. Somewhere out there is another track which will be Roman March from the beginning of the movie.

    There were a lot of "Roman" movies (some dealt with religious themes) at the time, like King of Kings, Cleopatra and Spartacus, which would be used to good effect in RTW. Indeed, the mod SPQR uses Triumphal March at the beginning of the mod, and another march from Spartacus for the troops marching to battle (the music there was used for the Roman legions marching to battle in the climactic battle of that movie, too).

    @Forgus
    Why not, if that's what someone wants to do? Personally, most movies are so bad ... or at least, dry ... that they would fall flat on their faces without the music. Think about watching most slasher movies, like Jason, if there wasn't music to tell you when to be frightened!

    They're all from the SPQR mod... That's where i'm getting them from... The SPQR music folder

    I could never play SPQR because my computer can't handle huge unit sizes but i loved the music so much and always wanted to put it into another mod that i enjoyed.

    You thief!

    Anyhow, the music from SPQR is good for atmosphere and ambiance.

    I agree with both you and Dayve!

    Rome was the greatest empire of its time, and the music should be appropriate. After all, US troops don't march to war to the music of the Beach Boys, but to the traditional martial music of the country. Somehow, I don't recall British troops marching to war in the 19th Century to Gilbert & Sullivan ...

    Forgus sounds cryptic (appropriately ), but it's a good reason he has.

    Does SPQR have new music composed for it? Genuinely curious. If your saying it comes from the SPQR music I'm just wondering.

    No this is the same music the SPQR mod has used from the first build right up to the most recent one... I just can't play because you need to use huge unit sizes or else your cities grow too large and you end up with too much money... But the music is so Rome like and atmospheric and perfect for playing as Rome in ANY mod that exists...

    Well, I didn't mean "new" as in brand new - just new as in composed for SPQR, even if it was when it first came out. If that's the case I'd download it just for the music to hear it, and that's what I'm wondering.

    It can successfully replace the Buddha Bar.
