Mine involves circumventing the problem that they all think that I am clinically insane (after they get to know me.) Well, so what if I can "see" and "feel" music, think that Hendrix was the messiah, and follow my own religion?! I'm a nice guy! Really!

getting a girl isn't extremely difficult. Its mostly about the approach, the way you want to be seen, which for most of them is that you need to exude confidence. Asking questions, and answering her questions (honestly but not in great detail). Things like having a lot of money or being excessively handsome are bonus points but not necessary. When I met my girlfriend I was driving my friend's 1996 Ford Taurus, I hadn't shaved in a good month and a half and I was starting to take a rather grungy appearance, and yet she still (surprisingly even to this day) saw something in me that she liked.

That's bad. You should be aiming for three months. That's the optimum for a relationship IMO, then it's time to ship-out and find another harbour brother!
