and now ... i can't load the game even!!

Hello All -
Terrible situation I'm in now. Playing as Carthage in version .74. It's around 257 BC. Took Rome one or two turns ago. The first "freeze-up" came after I hit end turn and then as it was going through the factions it froze on Arche Selekuids (sp?). I re-started the whole computer. Then tried to load the game - at this point hoping that I could start from my last turn. But now the game just CTD when I try to load it. I get to the first screen, choose continue camapign and it starts to load - for about a second - then CTD. I've tried a good five times - same result now.
If I have to re-install, is there anyway to save that game to continue playing or is that the root cause?

I'm not sure if I unknowingly made some error or if there is something else going on. Anyone else expereince something similar?

ps. please don't tell me it's the Roman gods cursing me for sacking Rome. I don't know why they would be mad - I sacrificed as many virgins as I could find in Rome!

Ok. More info. Was able to load a previously saved game and it works. So I guess that i have run into some bug and the trick now is to track it down. Is anyone famliar with any bugs that are/were similar? I will add more info soon...

Ok. Final post here. Moderator - if you could please close this post down. It belongs in NeoSpartan's post. I am 90% sure that I am running into the same problems as him. I will continue to post my problems (as they are consistant) over in Neospartan's thread "Game crashing after taking cities"
