My brother and I shared the alias "Killermonk" in UT.
I was "Killermonk627", and "^Killermonk^" in tribes 2 before known as R{a}ge.
I would use warrior monks to supplement my armies in stw and learned to respect them more than any other unit. I'm not ashamed to say i liked to monk rush should the terrain allow.
Is it really any surprise I chose "Monk" as my name?

When I first came here, I lurked a few weeks. One day someone asked a question in the Tech Dojo that I actually knew the answer to, so I had to pick a name in order to post.
Looking around, I saw other guys with names related to weapons (Sword-this, Blade-that, katana-so-and-so). To 'fit-in' here, I picked a weapon that no one had chosen yet - a kukri. And later added "khan", to relate to the rumored Mongol Invasion expansion pack.
I played S:TW MP as 'Taiko', then 'kukri'.

I seem to recall one such Mithrandir; escorting a Monk (me) into Britonian space to get a much better ship than the one i had. I was never sure if you and he were one in the same...

I downloaded GS for 1 hour (got 56K then,still do) in March 2004.. I went on to play Medieveal Total War,Flame in GS Chat Lobby and Play Medal of Honor Allied Assault.. as I picked I name,some like War and/or Man it wasn't avabile,so,one of the selected names was AntiWarmanCake,so I picked that,and that how the Lengedary Warman88 name became about..My

Vanya, BHCWarman, is one of the legendary co-creators of gah. He used gah! in front of and after every one of his posts, or so I presume. And methinks he's the one who wrote that funny story about headsoup and the arquebus guys, if memory serves, which it often fails. Of course, he was here and gone from here long before I even know of the org. So I can't claim to personally know him, either.
And by not even hearing of him you prove your noobness again.

My username alludes to my preferred choice of engagement. Sniping is preferrable to any other type of warfare IMO. I like the whole idea of hiding out somewhere stalking a target and finally eliminating the target and getting away undetected, or atleast without being captured or shot.

I'm no great general so I picked the worst possible unit to be general => peasants. Phill isn't my real name, I was just looking for a name that also starts with a P.
In real life I have other nicknames, given to me not chosen, and I use them with pride but they aren't really useable on the org as they are inside jokes.

(Probably the most acclaimed 'innacurate' historical fiction mind, MacBeth's army killed Duncan, not MacBeth himself, the Thane of Fife's family was killed in a raid, unintentionally, Malcolm's army [consisting of loyal Scots to Ross, Fife, Malcolm, Lennox [formerly MacBeths's ally and English reinforcements killed MacBeth, and his follwers but I digress. I got mine from my odd heritage, I was nicknamed from a young age, roughly translated to english, halfbreed 15, from being the fifteenth in my family and not being compltelly "Hye". I was playing a VI Saxon campaign when I registered, as many of you know the first Saxon hero is Wigferth, he rocketh, so I took his name and added "Ironwall" because his impoverished Saxon army was all spears and a few horsemen.
Hence me sig as well, that was what I used to shout at the screen.
