Default Can't find the .cas files for artillery

Does anybody know where I can find the .cas files for the artillery units? Can't find them in the models_unit folder . I'm about to modify some artillery pieces, so any tips concerning that would be greatly appreciated. Tnx in advance.

models_engine is where you want to look. Just note that the you need to edit a few models, such as collision models, destroyed models and then the lod models. You also can't use the skin modifier, which really sucks, and just make sure you keep the moving parts where they are or get rid of them completely because you can't edit animations.

Tnx a lot . Are u sure it's not possible to edit animations? Then how did people make cannons work in some of the R:TW mods?

canons don't require animations. They edit the animations of the people. But you can't do the firing animations of the engine itself.

And it's neither possible to change the skeleton? Even for non-artillery-units?

you can't change the skeleton of any engine. so siege towers and rams are out of the question. If you want to edit siege equipment you can only change the model and even then not all that much considering you have to use the same skeleton and animations.

It's not possible to change the skeleton for any unit. You can't add bones or change their length, you can only rotate them to make new animations. This still gives a lot of scope for change with most units, but not with seige engines.
