Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Religiously forbidden, yes. But there is no law enforcing that in social life, here in Turkey. And that makes difference among others![]()
Viewing the votes, I have to come to the conclusion the staff is made up off drunks...

Abandon all hope.
There you have it. The Org Staff is made of drunkards, that's why the Drunkards thread is sticky.Originally Posted by Mithrandir

In my most modest dishonesty, I'd like to say that a stickied Drunkards Thread is far better than a stickied "What anime girl is teh hottest?" that I've seen on some forums.Originally Posted by edyzmedieval

Don't worry, I'm not a recipient of the less child-friendly of the Japanese animations. Really; honest! I just wandered to where a friend pointed, and felt immediately like one of those college days when you go to a new club and finds it a cult.Originally Posted by doc_bean

And I still am a virgin of alcohol...
I'm sure most people could care less about the taste of beer (they just want buzz), but I really can't stand it.
Plus I really don't care enough to get drunk. It's not that I have morals, 'cuz I don't. It's just I don't drink.
This thread really needs another option: so many times I lost count, or at least higher then 10.
Could this turn into the frontroomish version of the drunkards thread?![]()
I never really like the taste of alcohol, but I like beer and tequila. I drink vodka although I don't really like it. I usually drink it mixed with some other stuff, like orange or coke or appletinis. But I'll drink in a social setting.
Yes, I've been drunk more than once. First time when I was drunk, I blackout completely (too much beer and tequila) and the next morning I woke up on the floor of my friend's bedroom with vomit all over my shirt, which he told me was mine.![]()
But now, I just have a couple of beer to relax me and one or two shots. No point staying sober when everyone are getting drunk, right? Cause then all the responsibility will get shove to you.![]()

Tequila is the best. However, I recently discovered Amaretto, a very good liqueur. Odd, since I always hate Liqueurs; but Amaretto is very good. It has a strong, thick taste to it; very sweet, but not cloying, and with a strong almond flavor.
Listen to me... jabbering about Amaretto... I need to sober up!![]()
I don’t drink to get drunk I just drink a little, it’s funny I went to the pub on Monday from 9 till 1 and only had 2 pints I don’t know how that happened.
Make BeerNot War
I voted more than five, but I guess I should have said once. On many occasions I have been pleasantly tipsy after a few glasses of wine, but in those instance I can sober up in a split second.
There was only one time when I was seriously as nissed as a pewt. I invented a cocktail called the COMP which goes as follows:
The C.O.M.P:
Take one pint/liter/anysize glass you want.
Fill two thirds (or three quarters if you prefer) of the glass with orange juice.
Fill the other third with one part pineapple rum, one part mago rum, and one part cherry brandy.
Works well with any other fruit schnapps/brandy/alcohol you have at hand.
It was so easy to drink, so after about half an hour I couldn't walk in a straight line and kept falling off my chair. Great fun, though.
This thread has inspired me to have a drink, and now after a short tumbler filled with rum and ice tea, I am feeling pleasantly....relaxed.
Oh, and i am also making cheval bourguignon tonight, so I will have half a bottle of wine to use up! And after that, I think I may proceed onto the port!

Yeah Amaretto is good, especially after you've just had diner - or any food for that matter.Originally Posted by Zorba
