It has a demo which didn't run too well on my machine (but nearly nothing does these days, i have to check it out when I have time...). You should check it out fi you're interested.
It looks pretty good, I don't think I got the initial build up right when I played it (the amount of units you're supposed to produce etc.), it seems like you're supposed to build a pretty big amount of units (for an rts), the hero concept is interesting, but I didn't manage to go into 'hero mode' for whatever reason.![]()
Yes, Iraq is peaceful. Go to sleep now. - Adrian II
When I first got it, I really enjoyed it, but back then I haven't met M: TW yet.. So.. But for sure, I think it is no where as good as a total war game, gets boring after a short period.
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."
Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton.
Have read bits of a review of it, which raves about the HCM[?] system for
controlling heroes, and gives it a high score seemingly based on the reviewer's
love for that one feature.
[Haven't tried the demo - I think there's one on my latest magazine disc - and I
doubt there is much chance of it running well on my machine either.]
it's the **** that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come
Rise and Fall Civilisation at War.
Nice RTS, with normal graphics(far from looking good), with an interesting hero concept.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
I've been looking at this game. I agree with edysmedieval.
I would probably get it if I had more time to play games and didn't already have enough games to play.
I support Israel
The Eurogamer site says it's poor, and if that's their opinion, it's good enough for me. Often they over-rate games, so a low score means I don't hold much hope for this one.

Improving the TW Series one step at a time:
BI Extra Hordes & Unlocked Factions Mod: Available here.
Every review I've seen thus far has give the game a mediocre rating at best. The general conensus is that while they give the developers credit for trying something new (blending action and strategy), it winds up being unsatisfying in both genres.

It is poor unfortunately. Blending RTS with RPG is a good idea, but they basically copied Age of Empires. Unfortunately for them, AoE is much better.
I played it for 1h 30 minutes, but I got bored, really.![]()
