But now they are irritating and getting under me and my twin bro's skin. Wow, I've been feeling the need to move out ASAP for a few months now. So this thread is kind of on cue.
Unfortunately, I don't see how I'll pay my way if I move out. The temporary answer is to just ignore my family.
Nope, I moved out at 18, my parents bought me an apartment for my college education, which is some 400 km from my place of birth.
Otherwise, good relations with them, aside from the occasional my being stubborn thing, but that is fairly minor and unimportant in the long run. Actually, my relations with them improved after I moved out.
Nope. I spend college vacations at home, and we get along dandy.
Of course, I'm not my idiot brother, who will get a very, very well deserved boot when he turns 18.

I felt at home with my parents, because of university I had to move out, which turned out better than expected.![]()
But I am with my parents every second weekend at least, because they wash my clothes.
The relationship was friendly and is friendly, despite a few things here or there, but that´s nothing big usually.

No, I get on great with my parents (my mum to be precise, as my parents are divorced). I am treated like an adult, have plenty of freedom and I get the house to myself for a week or so every couple of months since my mum often has to go away on business.

From about age 14 til I went off to Uni the house was just TOO SMALL to share with parents, at that age there's too much going on in your head to cope with them. After I'd lived away for a while we all got along a lot better. Of course at the time it was ALL THEIR FAULT. Age has shown me otherwise!!

I considered moving out and in with a friend when I was a senior in high school, mom convinced me to stay but as soon as graduation happened I was gone! I have a good relationship with my family now but at the time I was very feed up.
I was pulling decent grades and working a part time job to raise enough money to move to the big city for college and when I would have a night off to see my girl I get slapped with a curfew of 10:00 PM, screw that!
