    Default pointy feet

I know this has been asked before but I did a search and nothing relevant came back. I have the latest R:TW with BI installed and patched up.

All the Roman units have legs that go off as a point for feet (i.e. no feet at all), even with the highest unit graphics set under options. Whats going on?

Try to play around with a few other Video Settings, that should do. I've had this problem before, and just tinker around to eventually get the feet.

    Hi gmjapan

I'm at work so this could be wrong. I think I turned on Unit Shaders at the bottom of the option menu to lose pointy feet.

    Update, from another site:

In your preferences.txt, change the line
    UNIT_USE_SHADERS:FALSE

    to

    UNIT_USE_SHADERS:TRUE

    Basically the same thing.

or even more simple: play a battle press esc button choose video options check the box unit shaders.

I just changed the Unit Detail option (in video options) to at least medium, that should sort out your problem mate.

Hi Taurus / Bombasticus Maximus, I have the Unit Detail at Highest and all the Romans still have pointy ends to their legs except cav.

I changed the unit shaders setting though and it works perfectly now. Thanks for the help guys.

I had lots of problems with this as well. YAKOBU is right about the unit shaders, though.

I also got rid of grass, and lowered the terrain detail as well. Performance is very smooth now.

I had a devil of a time finding the answer to this when it happened to me, which was ages and ages ago. Must say, Activsion CS were naff all help. Reckon this would be a good answer to have stickied somewhere.
