The best advice I can give you is to make lots of concept art and plan enough to grab attention, at this stage public attention is really the best thing

    Good Luck

heres a list of factions (list is fairly long because i dont know how many factions you can have).

    Factions
    -High Elves

    -Wood Elves
    -Dark Elves
    -Goblins
    -Orcs
    -Nords
    -Archons
    -Imperials

    -Halflings
    -Gnomes
    -Dwarves

    -Syrons
    -Frostlings
    -Nomads
    -Undead

    -Ogres

    -Tree People
    -Beasts of Chaos

    -Bretonnia

    -Hords of Chaos

    -Tomb Kings

    Faction Descriptions

    -Wood Elves
Wood elves are immortal, living a lif without end. These delicate and graceful beings are the elders of this world. Wood elves have close ties to nature and to the forces of life. They love music, lore, and dance, but are solitary beings, preferring to seek their pleasures far from the prying eyes of the world. When intruders come to their forests they seldom escape, and those who are taken from an elevn forest, after having dwelt amoung elves, often die of broken hearts and unspoken remorse.

In times past, Wood elves ruled all the lands, but they were generous with the lesser creatures and nurtured all life. Some say it was their downfall. Archons refer to the Wood elves as "The Firstlings," and preach that Wood elves serve to rejuvenate fallen worlds and prepare the way to a world of magical wonders. In their past, they welcommed the Human race (Bretonnia etc), and were betrayed. Such has been the source of much strife between the two races - and elven memories are long.

Elves employ stealth, speed, and cunning to strike their foe.

    More to come.

On what are you basing this mod?

If wood elves are immortal how can you kill them? I mean even if they have small numbers if they can't die you can't conquer them.

elves don't die of old age. but will die like any other man when they have a sword in their head. duh!

I think, they can not die because of desease or aging. They can die by sword though. Like the elves of Tolkien...

The factions seem to be those of Warhammer, the games workshop tabletop wargame.

"Bretonia" is the one that gives it away, but there are some I don't realise.

The artwork and much of the conceptualisation seems to be from Gamesworkshop's Warhammer minatures game.

kburket - I am not sure of the copyright issues here. My gut feeling is that you either have to acknowledge GWs intellectual propertyrights or not use their material. I am going to take advice from fellow staff members.

With GWs Mark of Chaos coming out soon, I have my doubts about the life expectancy of this proposed mod, even if GWs lawyers don't pounce on it.

Its not based on a game, just mad up. Sure i used names but they dont own the names. The pictures are just examples not actual units.

Sounds interesting, I had always dreamed of a "Birthright:Total War" but lacking any real talent and the TW's diplomacy engine's limitations never considered it workable.

Watch out for GW though, they can be absolutely rabid about, even, perceived copywrite infringement.

Looks like it would be fun though...
    Sir Robin the Not-quite-so-brave-as-Sir-Lancelot,
who had nearly fought the Dragon of Agnor,
who had nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol,
and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.

If you are not going to make a Warhammer mod (which is as I understood it) I would advise that you removed or drastically re-thought the concept about the following factions.

    Imperials
    Beasts of Chaos
    Bretonnia
    Hords of Chaos
    Tomb Kings

All these more or less scream WARHAMMER. Remaking them from a pure Warhammer point would not be to hard I would say. Insteed of Bretonnia and Imperials make up two human kingdomes. Insteed of Hordes of Chaos, Northmen and on. A mix of Warhammer and more generic fanatsy elements could also run the risk of getting into legal problems with GW.

However I would say that I think that your artwork for the Wood Elf general looks good and your basic idea is intreging.

    Perhaps Basilian (Imperials repl Byz)
    Perhaps Aquitaine (Breton repl France)
Perhaps Arboryl (Wood Elves repl ?)

Mapwise the easiest way to escape is to reverse directions having eastern end of the world instead of a western one.

Best of luck though and yeah, good concept art.

Are you asking me why is this mod for M2TW?

If so because it will have better features than RTW and most people will play M2TW.
