When you have a girlfriend, parents no longer want you in your house. They are slowly pushing you outside. ~Originally Posted by doc_bean

Right now, I just want to move out of the house and live alone. But where can you get out when you're an expat stuck in Vietnam? My parents are okay and I must say, loving, all my life. But now they are irritating and getting under me and my twin bro's skin. Their nagging freq has just turned up 10 times. The problem is when we're at home too much, that's why I go out and watch the World Cup with friends.

Nope, home is cozy and warm, and for sleeping out hangovers.

Nope, I moved out at 18, my parents bought me an apartment for my college education, which is some 400 km from my place of birth.
Otherwise, good relations with them, aside from the occasional my being stubborn thing, but that is fairly minor and unimportant in the long run. Actually, my relations with them improved after I moved out.
Wow, I've been feeling the need to move out ASAP for a few months now. So this thread is kind of on cue.
Unfortunately, I don't see how I'll pay my way if I move out. The temporary answer is to just ignore my family.
