Game loading problem

iv been playing for a week and a half now, nearly everyday as carthage. Iv just been loading the game normally by clicking continue campaign and there hasnt been a problem. But today when i tried it as soon as it entered the loading screen it CTD'd, i tried it multiple times and it always CTD'd, any suggestions why this would be happening? i havent changed anything. i think its 213 BC

-oh, and what happens is that when i first click for it to load, it opens up a loading screen with a model on it and some info on his armor etc. but then it quickly switches to one of the map.
