Woof. That was a debacle. But you know there's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me, uh — heh heh, you can't get fooled again.Originally Posted by Krusader

Yeah well if you don't want a beta team that's no skin off my teeth man i'm just saying, if you need people who you know who have been here for a while and who haven't been here just for a month to test your next build and report to you what bugs they find or what things they see wrong then i'll be happy to spend a couple of hours everyday doing just that...Originally Posted by Krusader
Not getting my hopes up, just saying i'll do it if you want. I'm as eager as they come to see the final build of EB and if i can help make thatgo a bit smoother by helping out then i will.
Learn skinning Dayve and then beta test.![]()

Don't worry, anyway; it shouldn't be too much longer. It certainly won't be a year or so like it was last time.
I think.
i really like this great EB mod very much, but the reinforcement bug do make me feel terrible, so wish the 0.8 version will be out soon and correct this problem, then i can enjoy it and live for IT! lol
About where we stand (without giving away too much): We have just about completed the port (I think it's all done), and a transition/test to the -mod switch system. Aymar is integrating lots and lots of new units (and getting the UI's fixed, along with others), and Spartan Warrior and Forgus keep cranking out new ones every day it seems. Blacksnail is working on the new recruitment system with kull, but it's going to be a big undertaking, and to a degree needs to wait on the new units getting in. We have a big preview (maybe biggest yet) coming soon, but it's not quite ready, and big news to accompany it. We do need help with scripting and traits, but haven't made a proper announcement about it yet. Every culture now has their own GUIs for strat maps and for battle maps. There are a number of new building graphics. And we're pretty close to having one of the two new factions in a very playable state. That's pretty much where we stand.
We are having problems with things we think we can get cleaned up without too much more trouble (some trait problems with the 1.5 port - like our supply lines system getting reversed, and some of the new culture swap issues hanging around, sprites missing causing a CTD, a script problem that may be causing a CTD, etc.). There may be other issues that pop up, but getting new units in, getting recruitment system set up so there are no CTD's at all and you can even see what units are available in the MIC's will be the biggest obstacles to overcome before we can get 0.8 out the door.
Sounds good![]()
Joeokar the great lurker
Indeed it does sound good, will all the general skins be done too?

I was impressed with EB back when I started playing it; I am amazed that it is continuing to get better. You guys are basically amazing, I have to say.
