Thread: can a culture set have two different general models?

Default can a culture set have two different general models?

    here's the situation.

i got the indian faction in RTW as an eastern culture. however the indian general textures do not go with the eastern general models. in alexander, this wasnt a problem as the indians are the only faction in the game to use the egyptian culture, so the models were changed accordingly.

so does anyone know how to get around this problem?

ideally i dont want to have to edit the textures so that there are indian generals wearing eastern armour

Descr_characters.txt is your friend, as well as descr_model_battle.txt and descr_modle_strat.txt.

officer models and textures are faction specific. You can change the models in the descr_model_battle for battle field models and descr_model_strat for strat map models. You'll have to make new entries in both those files then go to the descr_character and make sure that the entry for thats factions general is pointing to the correct entries in the descr_model_battle and the descr_model_strat. However, whats NOT faction specific are generals portraits. Those are used for every faction in a culture.
