    Default Difficulty level

I read that the AI gets morale and other bonuses on higher difficulty levels. Is this just the enemy AI or do my AI allies also get these bonuses?

    Hi patlv23

I'm afraid that all AI factions will get the bonuses whether allied or not. Eventually you will turn on your allies or they will turn on you.

The morale bonuses only take effect on the battlefield, not the campaign map. So any AI faction that you happen to be on the battlefield with, whether friendly or not, will have that bonus. The bonus is only effective on expert level. on easy level it's you that gets the bonus. Normal and Hard don't give any -morale- (edit) bonuses. Personally I mostly play the hard difficullty and rarely the expert, because I like to use tactics that rout the enemy units off the field, not butcher them to almost the last man and artificially inflate my own unit's valour.

Actually, the M:TW A.I. does get a small combat bonus on hard, but it is barely noticable. Expert gives a slightly bigger combat bonus as well as +4 morale to the A.I. In R:TW off course the A.I. get a clear combat bonus on hard and an even larger one at very hard.

Sorry, I was all the time referring to the morale bonuses not the other combat bonuses. I should have made myself clearer.

Sorry, forgot to mark this as MTW

Alright, got it. Sometimes I have games where I immediately withdraw from the field so I can watch the AI duke it out. Just wanted to find out if the non-allied AI gets any advantage.

Thank you all for the replies :)

I guess the question was already answered.

I never play on Expert, sticking to Normal or Hard. Although I never thought about the morale bonus allowing you to artificially inflate kill numbers. Maybe that's why I never get magnificent attacker, or maybe its just my bad tactics. hmm.
