    Take Five.

The only one I will spend money on other than Snickers.

But I rarely eat candy anyway. Maybe once a month at the most. Candy doesn't taste as good when you are old.

I didn't believe it when I was a kid, but eventually you do grow out of candy. Personally I just can't eat candy bars, whether it's snickers, twix or whatever I just can't eat it anymore and I've pretty much lost my taste for all chocolate.

Please don't call that strange brown substance you Americans use for candy chocolate. There are countries in the world where chocolate is considered a precious and valuable thing.

I don't have any preferred type of candy. My preference changes weekly.

I like anything chocolate. So my preference change daily. I hate, hate, hate Snickers but Mars.... wow, its some paradise for me. But I don't really like American candy (if that's what you guys call it). For me, small, strong Belgium choc or European choc is what really peak me up.

Beside, choc is chemically the same as love. And choc boost up your... um... life, the other kind of life, if you know what I mean.

I'm not entirely sure what is covered by the term "candy", but my favourite sweet snack in a bar-shape is tablet.

Twix or Snickers. I don't like all that sour candy crap. Bad for your teeth and it tastes bad.

Ah, candy is a different thing from chocalate. Candy is mass produced and sold from vending machines or in the grocery store. You can tell cheap chocolate (hershey's) slightly more expensive (dove) or the really good stuff (Aglameses, esther price, graeters...all local to cinci I think, don't know what they have in other cities).

Sometimes they put paraffin in the chocolate so it doesn't melt as quickly. I guess that isn't as much of an issue in norway

Cadbury Dairy Milk owns the pathetic excuses for chocolate you find being sold in America. My first thoughts on eating a Hersey's "Chocolate" Bar was 'this tastes like Grandma'.

The American chocolate I've had is truly sick-making, but I figure it's probably been the cheap stuff.

My personal chocolate preference is for Cadbury's. However, my all time favourite is a greek chocolate called Lacta. It's impossible to buy in the UK, however. Where boiled sweets are concerned, I like Pear Drops. For chewy sweets, Sports Mixture is where it's at.

Cadbury's Bournville is excellent, with Dairy Milk coming close after...

    Sherbert Lemons are excellent, too...

On holiday in the USA, I bought a "candy" thing, which consisted of peanut butter covered in "chocolate". It was quite frightening. The "chocolate" and peanut butter would not stop clinging to the roof of my mouth...

Moro bar... the older version with a tough nougat rather was better.

Lindt Dark Chocolate is a nice one to have while watching Red Dwarf... or Heaven from Nestle are good for something with a filling (strawberry is hard to beat)... for a plain milk chocolate Cadbury's is excellent.

For American sweets I like the Jelly Belly ones. Intense flavour, nice variety but it is twice as expensive as Cadbury's chocolate by weight.

I just realized that paraffin (eng) and parafin (nor) is not exactly the same.
I believe parafin in English is kerosene. Any who have served in the military knows that kerosene and food is a no mix – keep at separate locations.

I am on the same page as you… probably IMHO the best innovation by the US … in addition to cherry flavoured candy of course; twizzlers anyone?
