    synedslle : hi

    Katsusand : First Could you tell us what holy war is and give us an overview?


    synedslle : Ok, Holywar is a game , that is going the mix different games styles ,Rpg , roleplaying for the the general ( your self ) so the the more you play better you are , FPS , the first person shooter , for the battle to have i real point of view of what it was for battle,RTS real time strategy , you will have to control your economic , fame , army ...And to recreate some Historical battle , from the Crusade time . People dont know a lot of that time , so it will be some what learn some history with that game....And every will be in a respect of all culture and religion , so none of the side or faction will noted as good or bad ( evil )


    katsusand : quite promising .... now what engine will holy war use?

    synedslle : We will use truevision3D engine , that engine will reduce your time of production , we will not have to code all the rendering system ,with the 6.5 version we will have all the physic implemented , water , shadows , shaders system already code , so we will able to put all your effort in the is the real heart of the game , story , historical accuracy , nice battle and good graphics


    katsusand : Fantastic ... that mean you can view a large number of Troops without lacking in the frame rate ?


    synedslle : Exacly , we will use a multithread system , so each part of the game will have is fixed cpu time usage fix , so you will not see any slowdown frame rate , even with mid range system , the game will be make to have the best fps for battle , ( that is the one that will use the more cpu time ) without lossing quality and speed of music , script execution...and , there will be a crash protection , just in case , of problems

    Katsusand : that is great the fans will be happy when the hear that .... how many modes will be in this game?


    synedslle : For now there is two mode planed: Story mode, it will a single player , the player will chose his faction , play the game with a story , that include quick battle to just play a quick battle , And Multi player mode , that one where you play against other human players , all the specification are not set but it should be around 8 to 16 humans player


    Katsusand : That is amazing ... about the story mode .... can you choose your character ? and how many characters will be?


    synedslle : Like i did say , not every thing is confirmed , but the way i see it , from a historical point of view , we should have for the christian side multiple faction ( like french , english ... ) with some different stat and hero , the same with the muslim side , so the player will have the choice to play with a few different character . the player will have a total control on how is character will look and where he will put is stat , what kind of weapon and armor it will use


    Katsusand : what technoliges you will use in sound and music?


    synedslle : Ok that a real tricky one , that is more my point of view , but for now what was planed is the use of wave for sound and music , already implemeted in TV3D , but i think we should use mp3 in a stream ( whit is own thread ) for music , and wave for sound effect


    katsusand : oh good ... how is the game progressing and when its going to be releasd ?


    synedslle : For now , we are finishing the desings documentation , i know from other members that to coding is going nicely well , when we will the TV3D 6.5 some porting will be needed , there is still alot to be done , from me i have a LOT to do , but i need to get TV3D 6.5 first because the script engine need some parameter from it , i need to almost redo it from a to z to make it work,we will need some model , map soon , for some testing purpose , after that we will start scipting the story mode , then after that it will be the multi player mode


    katsusand : great Synedsylle good luck .. finaly is this game free ? and how many people are devolping this game and do you still need recruits in the team?


    synedslle : Yes the game will be free unless we get someone to publish it ( unlikely ) presently we have a team of 18 members , and yes we still need some extra people , especially modeller and animator that will speed up the developpement of the game


    kastusand : Holy War will be the first game do achive this features a mix of rpg and fps and strategy still amaze me thank you Synedsylle for your time ... any thing you want to say to the fans?

    sounds a bit similar to Mount&Blade and Rise & Fall: Civilizations At War. but i want it knowing that its FREE!!!!!!

    Well, RPG, FPS and RTS were already in Joan of Arc(though the quality is debatable) and I´m curious whether they will be able to really implement everything they want, but I wish them good luck and lots of fun anyway.

    Rise and Fall Civilisations at War.

    It's the same concept as Holy War. IMHO, RPG and RTS really don't make a good mix, because after some time you get bored.

    ..I just hope he's not a native English speaker, otherwise the quality of his remarks will turn me off to the quality of the game entirely.
