First of all, you can look for Osprey books when you want military stuff. www.ospreypublishing.com
It covers both Greek and Byzantine books.

Haven't heard of this specific book, sadly enough.

As a fundamental Byzantium-related book, I can suggest Ostrogorsky's "History of the Byzantine State"

Although if your friend is a historian with a fair amount of interest in the byzantine era, he may already possess it, so if you're willing to pay a bit more the following two books are quite recent and very serious sources on Heraclius:

I think u mean "Byzantium's Holy Wars" by Geoffrey Regan.

Walter Kaegi's book "Heraclius, EMperor of Byzantium" is quite detailed.

This is probably the closest thing, i'm not sure if Heraclius' Crusades exists, but i heard about it, thanks for the help.
