I also can help with writing and to a lesser extent scripting. I will be receiving a BA in History and Classics, which I know is not a big deal, but I also work as a extra reader for 2 of my history profs.

Rome, Koinon Hellenon ,Ptolemaioi, and probably the Sabyn. But most of my knowledge is based around Rome.

I'd like to help with editing descriptions - I have good grammar and really like this mod, and so would like to help out.

I sent a PM to tk-421, but after a week or so it's still unread, so maybe he's away or something.

Anyway, I'll have to admit I have very little technical knowledge, so you'll have to tell me exactly where to find these descriptions or how to edit them if there's any coding involved, but like I say, my English is pretty good :)

If you'd like me to get working on any descriptions, please do tell me!

Do you have a decent amount of historic sources at hand or acces at them? Which factions are you knowledgeable about and interested in?

I'm better at grammar than I am at history, but history definitely interests me, especially this period (i.e. "Roman Times") and c. 7-14C. AD. I'll have to admit I hadn't heard of half the factions in EB when I first started playing it (which was not so long ago), so I probably know the most about Rome (I study Latin, if that's helpful), although I suppose the Romani have loads of experts already.

However, I can always research something quite well if need be - get a book on it, search the internet, whatever. So, certainly, if tasked on writing a 100-200 word description of some Sauromatae building I've never heard of that's being included in the next build, I will do eventually do it - like I say, I can research stuff quite well - but you'd get your end product faster if you got a historian specialising in the Sauromatae to knock up a first draft, and then get me to edit it and clean up the grammar, change the style, or whatever else.

could you be a bit more specific about what the ''skinning work'' includes? Does it mean also working with models, or just with existing (empty or otherwise) skin files?

Skinning would be textures only. Tough ofcourse if you can model too, that's even better. Skinning however only reflects to textures, mostly made from scratch.

Pm Urnamma and tell him that you want to texture units for EB. You should also include a few examples of your work.

    Hi.

It's not on your list but I am good at doing accents and speaking languages. I can fool people that I am french no problem. I think you could use more voice actors. If you wanted I could make a file of me doing examples of different world accents and saying phrases in different languages. Ive been told my german accent is 'perfect' (by a german) and french people have thought im french in the past. Some variation in the voice actors in the battle scenes would be good. I am willing to learn. Im studeous. Im currently a student and I study Pharmaceutical Chemistry. I find learning and speaking new languages fun and i think i could be a good addition to the mod. I have experience as a radio DJ for student radio so I have some background experience doing voiceover etc.

    hellomynameised@hotmail.co.uk

I have some good sequencing software which is excellent at altering the acoustics of recorded sound. I could get anything I say to sound like its on a battlefield no problem.

I have welsh, greek, french, spanish, german, panjabi, urdu, gujarati... friends who could be used to help triangulate correct pronunctiation. I can speak bits of Russian, Italian, Cantonese, Japanese, French, German, Polish and Panjabi. And probably some more if i think about it.

    Thanks for your time.

Forgot Arabic friends and being able to speak a bit of it which is relevant too.

Please don't think that I think that the languages spoken in 272BC are the ones people speak today!

Oh yeah I think the voiceovers in the first version of the game are shameful. The only faction that doesnt sound retarded is Rome but why do they speak in an American accent? The Cathaginians sound just plain stupid. The language they spoke was semitic and similar to Hebrew (according to wikipedia) but I know your language people will know much more about it than I do. Id be happy to listen, learn, copy then personalise. :D

I'm finally on shore duty, with a lot more time, so I figured I'd get off my butt and offer my services to this outstanding mod.

My R:TW-specific scripting experience mostly consists of flipping through the EB scripts and tweaking things for a personal minimod. I think I've got a pretty good handle on things, but I've still got a lot to learn about it. Nevertheless, due to the "constant need for scripters" I hear about, that's probably the primary service I'd offer.

I can also scrape the rust off my Attic Greek if that'd be helpful, though the professor who taught me was sort of a maverick, so I may need to relearn some pronunciation to conform to a standard; I'd also be very enthusiastic about learning to pronounce anything else that needs spoken. Corollary to that, I have access to some papers on Greek pronunciation that didn't receive very wide circulation at the time of their publication that the language team may find interesting. This is the sector I'd prefer to work in, if there's any sort of need for me.

Finally, I can help clean up text.

Since there don't seem to be a "help required" thread in the EB2 forum, I will ask here... Do you still need some staff for EB2 ? As many people down here, I love the mod and I would be very proud if I could help a little.

I am a professional modeler and texturer, working for cgi movies and cartoons for 6 years now (I can provide you with works samples if you want). Oh, and I am a History lover, sometimes doing reenactment, and I have even worked for historical 3d projects. I usually work on Maya and Photoshop, but I use 3ds Max sometimes.

Yes, we certainly could use help for EB II. However it may take some time until we start on producing EB II units.

Our unit coordinators are Urnamma and Aymar de bois Mauri. I think it's best to pm Urnamma and tell him that you want to help with texturing and modeling for EB II. Showing some samples might not be a bad idea.

    Hi all,
I heard that the EB team needed an animator so I thought I might poke my head in here and offer to be an animator. I am inexperienced with making animations, but I'm undergoing tutorials of Maya and I am studying digital animation and 3D modeling as a major. If you guys feel like I'm of any interest, (pm) me sometime.
