Loading screen bug?

Version 0.7.4

Recently while quitting the game, out of the blue I got a wierd error, but it was while the game was quitting and I didn't have to to take a screeny because the game quit and the error message dissappeared before I had time to take a screeny of it(only slightly redundant eh?). Ever since then I have been getting a black screen when loading a saved game, or going back to the main menu from a current game.

Here is what the screen is supposed to look like,

but like 1 second later it goes to this.

Basically it changes to black as soon as the progress bar starts to show the loading progress. Anyone else encountered this problem before? I did a search but couldn't find anything.

I don't recall that problem being raised before. Does it not go to the game when the loading bar is full though? I get that sometimes when alt-tabbing from one application to another, but it pops back up as soon as it's fully loaded, so I don't even really consider that part a bug.

Could it be some other program that is running in the background or alongside RTW?

I know it does that when alt-tabbing, but this is when I start the game up, hit load and load my game. That's one screeny right after the other. It instantly changes when loading. No alt-tab or anything. Just waiting for it to load. Only thing running is Fraps. Maybe my install is jacked. Wierd thing is it was right after the error had happened. I wish I had gotten a screeny of it...

Well, apparently it's not just EB anymore. BI and RTW and RTR 6 gold all do it now too. So it's not a bug in EB, it's something with my system.

Sorry to hear that - but glad to know it wasn't just EB that was messing up.

Well, it went away earlier today. I restarted my system and it was gone. How wierd is that?

I've had that a few times before with other mods. Not sure what causes it, maybe it's a vidcard problem? But it only seems to happen randomly...
