    Default Medieval RPG

This is simply an RPG in which you take control of a nation in Medieval Europe/Middle East/North Africa at the time of 1100. The game is based around having as few rules as possible in an effort to keep simplicity and make the game enjoyable for everyone.

I used to play a game like this before, it was called 'The Ancient World'. It was like this one, except the moderators all had their own factions and it was set in the period of RTW. I had a lot of fun playing that game, but unfortunately it was destroyed when all the members moved onto a WWII based forum game instead.

It works like this: You post an RPG style write-up (or you could just make a simple post explaining what you did if you are strapped for time) explaining any action you wish for your country to make, and wait for it to be approved by a moderator. This action can be absolutely anything you want, as long as:

    a) It is realistic (otherwise it will not be approved)

    b) You are prepared to face the consequences (for example, if you were the Pope and you adopted Islam as your state religion you might expect there to be a bit of uproar among other nations, and more importantly among your own people (see below)

    c) Some areas, such as battles, will have advanced rules associated with them.

    d) You must also have enough money and be prepared to spend it, if you are making an action which requires a bit of dough.

Moderators will exist in the game not only to make sure there is no godmodding (for those of you that don't know, godmodding is the act of making an incredibly un-realistic action in an RPG in your favor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godmodding) but also to control the factions that are not controlled by other players, and to represent natural disasters, rebellions, uprisings, basically anything that happens outside a players control.

I hope I have made this explanation as simple as possible.

    Sign-ups:
WARNING!: This game is likely to take up a fair bit of your free time. Only join in if you have some extra time on your hands, especially if you want to be a moderator.

To sign up, simply post with the role you want to play (either a faction or a moderator) and if it is a faction, choose which faction you want. The factions are divided into Major Factions and Minor Factions. The major factions are all the factions that are required to have players in order for the game to begin.

    Moderators:
    Silver Rusher
    UltraWar
    kburkert

    Major Factions:
    English - Csar
    French - Ignoramus
Leon and Castile - Destroyer of Hope
    Almoravids
Holy Roman Empire (this represents the German part, there will also be factions to represent the Kingdom of Italy and the Kingdom of Burgundy) - Keba
Papacy (I will think of a system to include papal elections, but remember that as the pope is elected, if you sign up to play as the pope your time as pope may not last long. Same goes for all other democratic factions) -GeneralHankerchief
Byzantine Empire (East Roman Empire) - Byzantine Mercenary
    Fatimid Caliphate
    Abbassid Caliphate - Bombasticus Maximus

    Minor Factions:
    Bohemia - Rhythmic
    Hungary - Conqueror
    Raska - SSNeoperestroika

Any other faction on this map, or even any other faction that existed in this time that is not included on the map (you must use evidence to back up your claim that this faction even existed at this time if you want to play as one of these)

There will be sign-up threads for this RPG in the ORG forums, the TWC forums and the .COM forums. The actual RPG itself will be played in an invision free board."
