    Yes, thats right, im doing a mod for Alexander. This is in the very vey early stages at the moment, ive done some work on Macedonian units, and am working on a new map, but not much else.

    Features and aim
    The mod will cover the years 336 b.c. when Alexander became King of Macedon aged 20, to either 323 b.c. when he died or 320 b.c., which would allow for an alternative history edge. I will be using a 12tpy script in my mod, so Alexander should not die of old age, and which will increase the amount of turns, which will be necessary given how im hoping the map will look

    The aim for this mod is to improve the Alexander gaming experience. It will try and make the add-on a great gameplay experience, a real challenge getting across the feel of Alexanders campaign. It will be mostly historically accurate, but ill be using artistic license in some places. It will feature:
    -a brand new map, which i will also release to the public
    -new models and skins
    -historical unit names
    -new traits and ancilliaries
    -a new recruitment system(possibly, ill have to see how it works out)
    -new gui
    -new custom battle maps
    -feature the following factions: Macedon, Persia, India, Greek Cities(will have a different name), Sarmatia, Illyria, Dahae, Thrace(maye be changed to a Thraco-Getai nation).
    -longer, more balanced battles
    -new formations, possibly modifying existing Darths FormationsMod formations.
    -new faction banners

    This is the area covered by the map, everything right of the black line.


    The mod will only have Macedon playable for 1 big important reason: the AI will never do an Alexander. I am aiming for this mod to try and get across the feel of Alexanders campaign, i am going to make it s you can only recruit Macedonian troops in certain provinces, and so you must assemble an army and go campaigning, sending reinforcements whenever you can, getting across the feel of Alexander marching across the Persian empire with only few reinforcements. And thanks to PROMETHEUS ts for helping me with some modelling problems.

    Recruitment
    I will need help with this mod as i do not have the time to do it myself, so i am recruiting the following:
    -Mapper
    -Trait and ancilliary editor
    -2d artist
    -coders

    And here are some taster pics of the Macedonian trrops, all units are wip unless stated otherwise. Some units are posed using EBs animations, which i hope to include in the mod, and i have used a modified version of Lacas phrgian helmet so i will need his permission to use it. Some of the skins also use some work by other people, such as the agrianoi shield, but most f the textures have been done from scratch by me.

    Cavalry

    Basilike Ile - the royal squadron


    Hetairoi - the eponymous Companins


    Thessalian Cavalry - some of the best in the world


    Prodomoi - light scouting cavalry


    Thracian Prodomoi - light missile cavalry


    Infantry

    Agema - the elite veteran pezhetairoi


    Hypaspistai - elite infantry who fight in a lighter more mobile way(yes the shiled does need improving)


    Pezhetairoi - the main backbone of Alexanders army, the anvil on which many armies were beaten.


    Hoplites - supplied by allied greek city states


    Missile Infantry

    Agrianoi - heavy javelin skirmishers


    Toxotai - lightly armoured archers


    Akontistai - cheap, light javelinmen

    General


    Lesser General


    Cavalry Officer


    Foot officer
