No that happens in normal RTW too. Just the chances of you happening to park your army next to your allies and having their enemy attack are pretty dam small so it rarely happens. I've only had it happen once, back in RTR. Ended up withdrawing since the no good armenians got owned leaving the giant parthian army for myself...
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'

I had this several times in RTR when I migrated Armenia to Iberia. Most of my troops sailed there, but one lone general, which I left to tend Artaxarta(my capital at the start), I migrated by land. He walked through Asia Minor, Greece, Balkans and Cisalpine Gaul, aiding Thracians and Illyrians on the way. He was asked assisatance several times and all the armies left him alone, even though it was 1.2. Uncanny.

I had it happen once in EB 0.72. I was playing as Koinon Hellenon. My ally, Epeiros, was besieging Pella. I sent an army right next to the city, and when the Epirotes assualted it I got that message.
