"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."
Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton.
Phoney.
He's probably too busy shagging all those supermodels to explain himself. Must be tough being an international glamour photographer as well as a gung-ho war correspondent. He's probably James Bond as well.![]()

I'm always glad to see a man accused & condemned without evidence and in his absence. Makes me feel so... Banana Republiky.

Several years ago the 'man' slagged me off for no reason at all in a thread (before he became a mod). I was puzzled and taken aback, but I kept my dignity and refrained from replying in kind. I thought he was a phoney then, and I still do now.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
hhmm if I remember correctly he didn't say it was his pics and the thread was more about if he was going to Lebanon or not but decided it wasn't worth it.
didnt he calim them?

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
AFAIK, Soly is in Israel or Lebanon right now and can't attend to his Org duties. It would be charitable not to make accusations about him while he is away. Please wait for him to return before discussing this topic further. I don't think he was planning a long stay.
Its even better when someone is accused and condemned and having the judge erase the evidence. Hypocrite...Originally Posted by Beirut

Gentlemen,
We have seen the facts (in sofar as they still can be seen) and we have heard your opinions. Nothing more can be established until Soly returns. Until then, I suggest that this thread be closed, as arguing over it won't lead to anything.

It's entirely possible that he only meant to delete his first post in the thread. As he was the thread starter, deleting the first post would automatically delete the entire thread. A mod can edit the thread to ressurect the remaining posts, but this needs to be done manually, and that takes time and specific know-how. It's possible he had neither of these. Assuming, of course, that it was Soly who deleted the thread: going on the description of others, it would seem to content might have been a bit too much for the Org.Originally Posted by Devastatin Dave

Well, when you were unfairly treated a while back (by myself) and even after an apology and a reduction of WP (by myself again) , you complained with great energy. Abundantly. At length. For daaaaaays.Originally Posted by Devastatin Dave
So, if we are all to avoid the curse of being a hypocrite, I look forward to your future examples of tolerance, understanding, and extreme patience when dealing with those who also feel unfairly treated.![]()

He claimed he saw "hundreds of dead babies" while he was in iraq...
Perhaps you should re read the thread Ceasar .
He said he saw "too many dead babies"
you are getting confused by a following line about a picture
now multiply this by about a hundred, and then think about what's laying around in the street
The picture shows a soldier stepping over a corpse in a passageway , it is not the corpse of a baby .
I am going to see what I can dig up.....
Perhaps you should , maybe you could start by re-examining what you have already "dug up"
It would sure make it easier if we still had the thread in question, wouldn't you agree?Originally Posted by Tribesman
