Why is this site so s-l-o-w?

Just noticing how slow this website is...any reasons why?

It's taking 2-3 full minutes at times to load a thread. I have a T1 connection that is boarderline as fast as you can go in a residential. I've also accessed this with a (t2?) at work and it's the same thing, so it's not on this end.

Anyone know what's causing the problem? I'd speculate that it's user traffic but there's websites that probably get 150x more hits than this and those never seem to be this slow.

Not a criticism, just an observation.

someone please delete this. I have absolutely no idea why this thread showed up twice. When I created it, it only showed up once as it was supposed to but several minutes later this second thread showed up.
