Default Let's leave the world of real politics for a moment...

...and look at the politics of a text-based game i play called Nationstates.

As of recently, the region of Israel was invaded by a large alliance of Nazi-istic regions, known as 'The Aryan Army'. The invasion is not at all related to the bombings in Lebanon, but has been planned for the last two months. It began with a spy of the Aryan Army fooling the Israelis into voting him in as the delegate. This was two months ago. He slowly got undercover Nazi's into the region, slowly building up the support for him, until sometime last week, a full scale invasion was launched, with 40 nazi countries occupying Israel, and all the natives being booted out.
The natives have formed a new region by the name of New Israel, and are planning revenge attacks.

The Arab League is currently at war with itself after the democratically elected delegate was overthrown, leading to much internal strife. It is thought things are gradually being put back in order though.

In India, my home region, the otherwise dull life of this sub-continent has been brightened up by the declaration of a Jihad on us by the Taliban. The small region, consisting of 3 people who seem to enjoy parodising the Taliban have made constant skirmishes into India. The Indian government is undecided as to whether we should laugh at them or move in and occupy them.

So, for the .Orgahs out there who play Nationstates, do you have any interesting politics to report on?

Anyone who is interested in the name of my country, it is Nepolonia. I also have control of the Indian embassy to the Arab League, which goes by the name of 'The Indian Embassy'.

Well my nation is still in the South Pacific.

Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.

This game was fun for a while, but some of the issues get to be very repetitive. I still am a part of it, even though the politics of 'Max Berry' can still rear their ugly head (it would work that way for anybody), especially in the UN categories. I still enjoy it.

Is there any actual fighting now? Like calculations for war and whatnot? Or is it all just getting a bunch of your friends into a region and gaining a majority?

    Ja Mata, Tosa.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder

Sadly, I think it's just that.

Argh, I messed up the original questions. The only good thing about my nation now is it's high amount of political freedoms and having an intelligent population.

No, it's all text-based still, as well as all the stuff about getting the UN majority vote.

    More news!

One of India's allies, New Palestine, is now under Aryan Army control after the founder was either hacked or decided to join the growing tide of Fascism.

The Arab League is in turmoil after a quarter of nations were deleted by mods, and the rest lost their UN membership. With only two nations left in the Arab League with UN Membership, the region is vulnerable to attack.

So, yeah, fascism is on the rise. It's quite worrying really. They go in, raid the region, eject the natives, then password it and leave one guy there. There are many dead regions scattered across NationStates thanks to these fascists.
