Default Germany vs Greece Monty Python Style

Obviously these are old clips, but I've never seen them before. Favourite player has to be 'Chopper' Sophocles.

Iiiiiiiiiiiiimanuel Kant was real pissant who was rarely ever stable,
Heidegger Heidegger was a boozy beggar who'd drink you under the table,
    ........

I highly recommend the "Live at the Hollywood bowl" DVD.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
    Who was very rarely stable,

Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table,

    David Hume could out-consume
    Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist
    Socrates, himself, was permanently pissed

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will
On half a pint of shandy was particularly ill,

Plato they say, could stick it away
Half a crate of whiskey every day,

Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle
Hobbes was fond of his dram

And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart
    "I drink, therefore I am"

Yes, Socrates, himself, is particularly missed
    A lovely little thinker
But a bugger when he's pissed.

Great stuff from the Monty Python gang.

My other favourite match was the Gynocologist vs the Long John Silver Imitators.

Another fun match, probably based on this game, was made by the program 'buiten de zone'. It was a footballmatch between all star teams from Germany and the allies. It featured Ghandi as referee, a Berlin wall (at a free kick of course) and actions from the resistance. I'll try and locate it.

    found it:

It's dutch spoken so a lot of the humour is lost if you don't understand it. The football match starts after one and a half minutes.

Players are De Gaule, Montgommery, Goebels, Hess, Von Hindenburg, and many more.

I have this clip on DVD somewhere. I'm the only one in the household who really appreciates it at all.
