i hate the skins. templars=red+white hospitallers=black+white. look at Stronghold: Crusader knights.
i was flamed on TWC just because i hated the skins. crazy people.
however somewhere in the 1200's, i think they started to wear there own coat of arms?

It look's rather correct from a historical point of view, however the i believe it was common for the Templars to also dress their mounts in white, and being an independent faction, showing the colors of nation is somewhat.. wrong i guess....
But in the game they aren't independent. When each faction launches a crusade, or gets a chapter house they get templars. They might come up against another faction with templars and so the horse's barding is just an easy way to make each faction's shared units distinguishable.
i really hope they intend on having foot knights too and order crossbowmen cause i like infantry and i want to see more than just templars on horses!
and that goes to the other orders too!
