Off course you can if your laptop has usb 2.0 connection. I can't say from my head which manufacturer is best, but I know that Western Digital is strong positioned.

I just looked at second largest Serbian computer dealer (http://www.pakom.com/KatalogProizvod...?sifra=0508106) - Western Digital Ext.USB Essential 2MB/80GB for 97,47 € (with included vat). And this hd use external power.

So, you just connect external USB 2.0 2.5" HD to your laptop and HD connect to power supply and your problem is solved. Windows XP will found new hardware automaticly.

That is tempting, but I don't know if I have the cash.
