    Default Insert Proper CD ??

    Ave,

just installed the mob according to the guides and the RTW gold workaround. Now when I try to launch the game I get the message "Please insert proper DVD."

I am using RTW eras edition. (My originial RTW CDs got lost when I moved :( )

And yes I have the dvd in my dvd drive.

    Any ideas ?

    cheers.

Sounds like a problem with going from RTW 1.5 to RTW 1.2 unfortunately and thus we cannot help there. Perhaps someone else who has experianced this problem will be able to help.

We are working on 0.8 and that will work on 1.5, so you won't have this problem in the future.

I get that from time to time, but it's not connected to RTW. Ever time I log into my account I need to let this windows installer that pops up run. If I do something to stop it, my comp don't reconize any CD's. No idea why, really pisses me off sometimes Also sometimes it might by your cd is dirty, try cleaning it. That helps me.
I shouldn't have to live in a world where all the good points are horrible ones.

Is he hurt? Everybody asks that. Nobody ever says, 'What a mess! I hope the doctor is not emotionally harmed by having to deal with it.'

Hannibal_Barkar: The problem is that the DVD version has a slightly different .exe file than the CD version, modified so that the game looks for a DVD rather than a CD. Because you "de-patched" to 1.2, the game doesn't realise it's supposed to look for a DVD in your drive rather than a CD. It can't find it, so it spits out an error.

I'm afraid there's not much to do except wait for 0.8.
